You’re engaged, you’ve picked the perfect wedding photographer, and scheduled your engagement session. Next up- deciding what to wear for those portraits! Choosing the perfect outfits for your engagement session doesn’t have to be difficult, and the good news is- we’re here to help. Scroll down through these tips and tricks to help you choose clothes that will have you loving your engagement photos!
First up- Choose clothes that are comfortable to you! If you and your partner are normally laid back, and don’t get dressed up often, show that off by picking outfits that are more chill! On the flip side- if you are both feelin’ fancy and dress up on the daily, pop off with your outfits!

When you choose outfits that you feel comfortable in, you will also be more relaxed in front of the camera! Less time worrying about outfits = more time laughing with your boo-thang!
Next up, dress for the location! You would wear different things for a trip to the city, a day in the park, and a day having friends over for drinks at your house- once you choose your locations, go in and pick outfits that match. Locations are something your photographer will help you with (we’ve got the hookup on all the good spots!) so chat with them and go from there!

Last but not least- choose a variety. If you love the fancy look but also want some laid back vibes, pick two outfits that match those feelings! Adding a jacket is a great way to dress up or down an outfit without doing a full outfit change. If you are sports fanatics, wear a jersey or your favorite team’s t-shirt. Adding at least one outfit change is a great way to guarantee that you get a variety in your gallery and end up with photos you can use everywhere- save the dates, hanging up at home, and on the guestbook table at your wedding!
